DESCRIPTION:Multiple IMPACT members including Vince Mor\, PhD\, Kathleen Unroe\, MD\, MHS\, MS\, Scott Halpern\, PhD\, and Antonia Bennett\, PhD will participate in a National Academies of Sciences\, Engineering\, and Medicine workshop titled “Serious Illness Care Research: Exploring Current Knowledge\, Emerging Evidence and Future Directions.” \nThis public workshop will explore existing evidence\, knowledge gaps and opportunities to advance future research for serious illness care. Workshop presentations and discussions will focus on areas that may include: \n\nInclusive research approaches to advance health equity in care\nSafe and effective therapies to address pain and other physical and psychological symptoms\nQuality measurement for serious illness\nThe integration of behavioral/mental health care into serious illness care\nCare delivery models that address the patient and family needs\nOpportunities for research coordination and collaboration.\n\nLearn more and register.
