DESCRIPTION:The AGS/AGING LEARNING Collaborative will be hosting a “Becoming a Champion Virtual Workshop” on Wednesday\, May 29 at 1:00 PM ET.   The LEARNING Collaborative is looking for MCC Champions to introduce the MCC’s Core Curriculum and encourage the inclusion of people living with Multiple Chronic Conditions (people living with MCCs) in research to their peers.  During the workshop\, learners will be introduced to the MCC Research Core Curriculum with the goal of encouraging use of the curriculum at their own institutions using the MCC Research Champion Toolkit. DESCRIPTION:The National Dementia Care Collaborative (NDCC) will hold its Autumn Summit\, “The CMS GUIDE Model: Choices for Implementing Evidence-Based Dementia Care” on the afternoon of November 28\, 2023. \nDuring the Autumn Summit\, presenters will discuss the Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE) Model from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The GUIDE Model seeks to support people living with dementia and their family caregivers and care partners\, to promote comprehensive\, high-quality dementia care\, and to address health disparities in dementia. \nThe NDCC Autumn Summit is a virtual event\, free and open to all who are interested in attending. DESCRIPTION:There will be an informational webinar for the sixth cycle of the AGING Initiative’s Multiple Chronic Conditions (MCCs) Scholars Program. \nThe program create by the NIH-funded Health Care Systems Research Network (HCSRN) and Older Americans Independence Centers (OAICs) AGING Initiative\, has created a cohort of emerging leaders who are committed to pursuing training and collaborative opportunities to align their research interests and agendas with issues relevant to the health and healthcare of older adults with MCCs. \nIn its sixth year\, the program will select up to 14 scholars in 2024. The scholarships will provide travel and accommodations for an overnight training workshop to be held April 24-26\, 2024 in the Washington DC area preceding the Annual Meeting of the OAICs. \nThe informational webinar will be held on Monday\, November 20 at 4pm ET / 3pm CT / 12pm PT. \nRegistration closed.

DESCRIPTION:Numerous IMPACT members are presenting at the full AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting (ARM) conference along with pre-conference workshops and seminars in Seattle\, Washington from Saturday June 23 through Tuesday\, June 27. \nIf you would like to register for a pre-conference workshop in addition to ARM\, please do so through the main ARM registration page. \nHowever\, registration for the full ARM meeting is not required to attend a pre-conference workshop. \nOf note\, the NIH Pragmatic Trials Collaboratory is partnering with AcademyHealth to offer a 1.5 day pre-conference workshop from June 23-24. The workshop\, “Driving Tomorrow’s Outcomes Through Clinical Research in Real-World Settings: Essentials of Embedded Pragmatic Clinical Trials Workshop\,” will provide an introduction to the investigative opportunities for embedded health systems research\, along with strategies for conducting clinical trials that provide real-world evidence necessary to inform both practice and policy. Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to participate in facilitated\, hands-on learning activities and to interact with Principal Investigators of current and past embedded pragmatic clinical trials (ePCTs). \nFirsthand ePCT experiences and case studies from the NIH Pragmatic Trials Collaboratory will support and illustrate the topics presented and demonstrate how ePCTs in real-world settings are driving tomorrow’s outcomes.
