SUMMARY:EMBRACE AD/ADRD Roybal Center Webinar: What is the Right Dose? The Role of Heterogeneity in Behavioral and Social Interventions
DESCRIPTION:Heather Allore\, PhD (Yale School of Medicine) and Core Leader of the IMPACT Design and Statistics Core\, and Guangyu (Tony) Tong\, PhD (Yale School of Medicine; Yale School of Public Health) will describe the concept of a dose in behavioral and social interventions. They will cover challenges in determining the optimal dose in behavioral and social interventions\, including single- and multicomponent interventions\, as well as in the context of heterogeneity. Drs. Allore and Gong will also provide an overview of approaches for testing doses and components\, including descriptive\, inferential\, and adaptive designs. Lastly\, we will present a real-world dementia intervention and implications for research. \nClick here to register for the webinar.

SUMMARY:OAICs Aging initiative presents\, "Do Multiple Chronic Conditions Matter in the ED?
DESCRIPTION:Patients experiencing a medical emergency require rapid identification of the main problem\, accurate diagnosis\, and timely treatment. Providing this care in the fast-paced environment of the emergency department (ED) is challenging when older adults present with multiple chronic conditions (MCCs). Please join us as Drs. Seidenfeld and Jih discuss why MCCs matter in the ED.
