IMPACT members and leaders Ellen McCarthy, PhD, MPH, Ana Quiñones, PhD, MS, Ladson Hinton, MD, Jill Harrison, PhD, and Susan Mitchell, MD, MPH, have published commentary in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) citing IMPACT as a nationwide health equity infrastructure to support pragmatic trials in dementia care.
The commentary describes IMPACT’s framework for integrating health equity into dementia care. Specifically, it outlines the National Institutes of Health (NIA)’s history of investment in creating the IMPACT Collaboratory, its cores and teams structure, and its supporting research to address health equity in pragmatic trials in dementia care.
