TDC iLibrary on Identification of PLWD

TDC iLibrary on Identification of People Living with Dementia. NIA IMPACT Collaboratory; 2022. doi: doi.org/10.58234/91145734

Welcome to the TDC iLibrary on identification of people living with dementia (PLWD) created by the IMPACT Technical Data Core (TDC).

The purpose of the iLibrary

Identification of PLWD from healthcare-generated data is essential to the design and conduct of embedded pragmatic clinical trials (ePCTs) in this population. The purpose of this iLibrary is to provide a curated list of published articles for the identification of PLWD for non-pharmacological studies using healthcare-generated data. The selected articles report data on algorithm development and validation. The iLibrary provides information abstracted on key domains relevant to the algorithm’s planned use and target population, setting of care, main findings and performance metrics when available. Additional information relevant for consideration of identification across important subgroups, such as race/ethnicity, are provided when available.

The TDC iLibrary on identification of PLWD is updated on a quarterly basis. The last update was February 2023.

The iLibrary is updated via a custom PubMed search developed in collaboration with research librarians to remain up to date with newly published articles.

Additional articles are included in the library that are provided to the TDC on an ad hoc basis. All articles are evaluated using the same inclusion and exclusion criteria.
