This award has an expected investigator effort level of about 25-50%. If you propose something outside of that range, make sure to describe the reason in detail and justify your plan.
You would need to describe the necessary effort to conduct the proposed activity and justification for this expense.
Yes.
Up to two HCS Scholars will be selected this cycle.
Yes, Community-Based Organizations can be considered as a health care setting/system where PLWD and their CP receive care. For example, home health agencies would qualify.
Yes, funds may go to support the health care setting in conducting the activities proposed.
We ask for information about both the HCS and your relationship with the HCS at the Letter of Intent step but a letter of support from the HCS is not required until the Full Proposal step. When we talk about about HCS leaders, we are talking about people in leadership and decision making positions (medical directors etc.) and the C-suite (CEO, COO, CMO, etc.), though it may depend on what your particular project is / who might be involved.
The HCS Scholars award is funded through a subaward from Brown University, serving as the Pass-Through-Entity for the NIA AD/ADRD Health Care Systems Research Collaboratory.
