Aligning Medications with What Matters Most: Conversations between Pharmacists, People with Dementia, and Care Partners

IMPACT Pilot Grant Awardee, Ariel Green, MD, MPH, PhD, conducted a qualitative analysis of interactions between pharmacists and patient-care partner dyads in this secondary analysis of her pilot study of a pharmacist-led deprescribing intervention for people living with dementia in primary care.

Findings indicate that eliciting medication-related priorities of people living with dementia and their care partners can support goal-concordant care, which can inform the development of medication optimization interventions for this population.
