Sarah Berry, MD, MPH and Rosa Baier, MPH were among the authors of a research study examining the reasons behind lower than desired levels of COVID-19 vaccination among nursing home staff. Their key findings included:

• Designating a frontline champion; setting targets; offering t-shirts, merchandise, or other gifts to vaccinated staff; and using multiple strategies might be associated with higher COVID-19 vaccination coverage among nursing home staff.
• Findings could help leaders seeking to increase COVID-19 vaccine uptake among nursing home staff.
