IMPACT Ethics & Regulation Core members report results from the COVID Caregiving Project, an interview study of American caregivers for people living with dementia (PLWD). The research leverages qualitative methods to understand how caregiving relationships were disrupted by the pandemic and to examine how specific features of these relationships mediated this disruption.
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating for people living with dementia (PLWD) and their caregivers. While prior research has documented these effects, it has not delved into their specific causes or how they are modified by contextual variation in caregiving circumstances.
