Bio
Ellen Tambor, MA, has led and contributed to a wide range of projects aimed at meaningfully engaging patients, care partners, clinicians, and other parnters in all aspects of the research process. As a project director at the non-profit Education Development Center (EDC), she helped to establsih the National Dementia Care Collaborative. In her previous position as a research director at the Center for Medical Technology Policy (CMTP), she co-led the Stakeholder Engagement Core for the NIH Pragmatic Trials Collaboratory and helped to design and implement a plan for patient and clinician engagement in the Chicago Area Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Network (CAPriCORN). She also led a PCORI-funded project aimed at improving the engagement of front-line clinicians in pragmatic clinical trials. Before joining CMTP, Ellen was a research associate in the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy and Management, where she conducted social science research in genetics and public policy studies. She holds an MA in psychology from Wake Forest University.
