Jerry Gurwitz, MD, serves as chief of the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts where he is the Dr. John Meyers Professor of Primary Care Medicine. Dr. Gurwitz serves as principal investigator of the NIA-funded Advancing Geriatrics Infrastructure and Network Growth (“AGING”) Initiative which is a joint endeavor of the Health Care Systems Research Network and the Older American Independence Centers.
