Members of the IMPACT Collaboratory Implementation Core Laura Gitlin, PhD, FGSA, FAAN, and Joe Gaugler, PhD, were co-authors on an article which describes the use of multiple optimized randomization procedures to minimize and control imbalances in characteristics of sites enrolled in the Adult Day Service (ADS) Plus cluster-randomized trial (CRT). The goals and methods of the study have been described in a previous publication (Embedding caregiver support in community-based services for older adults: a multi-site randomized trial to test the Adult Day Service Plus Program (ADS Plus).
