IMPACT 2021 Faculty Scholar Kalisha Bonds Johnson participated in a Gerontological Society of America (GSA) webinar discussing the theme of its upcoming annual meeting, “Building Bridges>Catalyzing Research>Empowering All Ages.”
Bonds Johnson is the Emerging Scholars & Professionals Organization Chair of the GSA. She joined the GSA’s CEO, president, and other officials to share information about the organization’s approach to its 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting, to be held in Tampa, Florida, November 8-12, 2023.
The discussion included a review of the organization’s new features including a commitment to LGBTQIA inclusion and a family care room for parents attending with children. The webinar also provided opportunities to respond to members’ concerns about Florida’s controversial new laws and policies.
