Randomized in error in pragmatic clinical trials
January 1, 2025
IMPACT Design and Statistics Core member Fan Li, PhD and Faculty Scholar Guangyu Tong, PhD are among the investigators addressing the potential impact of randomization error that leads to selection bias in pragmatic trials by testing the feasibility of using Bayesian methods to jointly identify randomized-in-error status and estimate the average treatment effect among participants not randomized in error.
Results reflect satisfactory performance of the proposed models indicating the approach may help ensure more reliable and valid inferences about intervention effects in these trials.
