Patient & Caregiver Relevant Outcomes Core
Core Activities
The Patient and Caregiver Relevant Outcomes (PCRO) Core focuses on developing and supporting use of PCROs pertaining to people living with dementia (PLWD) and their care partners in the design and conduct of embedded pragmatic clinical trials (ePCTs).
Core members have developed an online library of Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs) relevant to conducting ePCTs, including patient-reported, caregiver-reported, observer-reported, performance, and clinical-reported outcomes. They define and disseminate best practices for collecting COAs from electronic health records and provide guidance to investigators on selecting and measuring different types of COAs and their suitability for pragmatic trials.
