Comparative Effectiveness of Two Methods for Assigning Care Coordinators to People Living With Dementia

Investigators conducted a pragmatic clinical trial embedded in a Medicare accountable care organization exploring comparative effectiveness of two strategies for assigning care coordinators to people living with dementia (PLWD) and their caregivers.  

The intervention being tested did not prove to be more effective than usual care, but the investigators use of highly fragmented care as an inclusion criterion was novel and shows that more work is needed to address fragmented care among PLWD.
