IMPACT Career Development Awardee, Tina Sadarangani,  PhD, RN, and team examine the acceptability of CareMOBI in the primary care setting and identify factors contributing to the likelihood of adoption among primary care providers.  CareMOBI (mhealth for Organization to Bolster Interconnectedness) is a user-centered mobile application that supports secure communication between adult day health centers, primary care providers, and family caregivers.

Using a mixed-methods concurrent triangulation design, the team collected quantitative data from 10 primary care providers, using the Technology Acceptance Model questionnaire and followed up with participants to describe their experience with CareMOBI.

Outcomes indicate that providers found CareMOBI to be a valuable tool that was easy to use.  The reported a high likelihood of future adoption but expressed concerns regarding workflow and electronic health records integration.
