Bio Quincy Samus, PhD, is a professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing with a joint appointment in the School of Medicine. She is the director of the Memory and Aging Services Innovation Center and associate director of the Innovation & Implementation Center for Aging. She is trained in applied gerontology, epidemiology, and health services research and has 20 years of experience leading projects to develop innovation to improve care for older people living with memory challenges and their families. She has an extensive track record of interdisciplinary collaboration with across many settings to address dementia care and risk reduction. She has successfully pioneered the development, testing and dissemination of evidence-based care management innovations and models of care to improve the coordination of care among people living with dementia. She has contributed to policy development and strategic planning for dementia care and brain health initiatives at the state, national and international level.
