Tina Sadarangani, PhD, RN, FAAN, is an NIH-funded assistant professor at NYU and a board-certified adult and geriatric nurse practitioner. Her research focuses on improving care for people with Alzheimer’s disease and supporting their families—especially immigrant families navigating complex healthcare systems. She developed CareMobi™, an award-winning app that helps caregivers coordinate care, and founded The Enlightened Caregiver, a social media movement empowering families to advocate for optimal care. Dr. Sadarangani is a national leader in advancing adult day centers as key partners in chronic disease management and nutrition programs for underserved older adults. Her collaborations with the National and California Associations of Adult Day Services have shown that integrating these centers into healthcare reduces unnecessary utilization and enhances person-centered care. Widely published and featured in major media outlets, she has been honored by Crain’s New York Business as a Notable Leader in Healthcare. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, the Gerontological Society of America, and the New York Academy of Medicine.

Quincy Samus, PhD, is a professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing with a joint appointment in the School of Medicine. She is the director of the Memory and Aging Services Innovation Center and associate director of the Innovation & Implementation Center for Aging. She is trained in applied gerontology, epidemiology, and health services research and has 20 years of experience leading projects to develop innovation to improve care for older people living with memory challenges and their families. She has an extensive track record of interdisciplinary collaboration with across many settings to address dementia care and risk reduction. She has successfully pioneered the development, testing and dissemination of evidence-based care management innovations and models of care to improve the coordination of care among people living with dementia. She has contributed to policy development and strategic planning for dementia care and brain health initiatives at the state, national and international level.

Manish Shah, MD MPH, is Professor and Chair of the BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and holds the Azita G. Hamedani Distinguished Chair of Emergency Medicine. As a practicing emergency medicine physician and a researcher, he has dedicated his career to improving the care delivered to acutely ill or injured older adults. His work has helped establish the field of geriatric emergency medicine and advanced the role of ambulance-based paramedics to support community health efforts, now termed “community paramedicine.” Dr. Shah’s recent work has focused on helping people living with dementia (PLWD). He is one of the leaders for ED-LEAD, an 80-site pragmatic trial evaluating three interventions to improve the emergency department care of PLWD and their care partners. Dr. Shah also has a passion for developing researchers. His mentees now hold senior positions across health systems, medical schools, and research programs.
